With the recent Government roadmap announcement, there is hope for optimism in the coming months that our lives will resemble some sort of normality once again. It is has been an extremely difficult time but there is now light at the end of the tunnel, so I’ve put together a list of 5 activities that residents local to Tooting can look forward post-lockdown!
1. Swim in Tooting Bec Lido
Hopefully we have a lovely summer ahead of us. So why not take a dip in europe’s largest fresh water swimming pool. Located in the heart of Tooting Common, the lido represents a great day out in the sunshine! Or even the cold for those braver souls out there…
2. Dine Out
I’m sure many are looking forward to a nice dinner out! Although lockdown has provided the perfect opportunity to sharpen up some culinary skills (or try out new takeaways), a nice sit-down meal will be a real treat. Tooting has an endless number of restaurants varying in terms of cuisine and price. Daddy Bao is one of my personal favourites.
3. Catch up with friends
Pub gardens will be opening on April 12th so let’s all hope for some good weather. And if the whether is good, dare a I say it picnic in the park would be a great way to enjoy some spring sun.
4. Head to the cinema
We’ve seen a number of movie releases delayed and cinemas closing during the pandemic which is terrible – but lets all help cinemas out when its safe to do so. Tooting doesn’t have any cinemas but a personal favourite is any Picture House Cinema in London.
5. Get a haircut..
I think one thing that a lot of people are looking forward to is…. getting to the hairdressers/barbers. Guys especially, are sporting some interesting hair-do’s at the moment! But there is just one month left until the planned re-opening on April 12th – assuming the current roadmap sticks to schedule. Which will be a welcome relief to many.
Over the past year, Instant Physio have worked extremely hard to keep everyone that comes into the clinic safe. With the vaccine rollout well underway, we’ve seen an increase in the number of patients willing to come in for face-to-face treatment which has been great to see.
We’re still offering free discovery visits for anyone interesting learning more about physiotherapy and how we can help you to live a more active lifestyle, to book yours just follow this link.
